I wanted something that didn't leak and that I could put in my backpack and/or purse, but that also had enough water and wasn't tiny like some leakproof waterbottles are. I LOVE having a straw too! I literally don't go anywhere without this.

I have 5 cups and 1 lid, and this one is starting to leak and I can't get the black mold looking stuff off the straw insert. I love this cup. It's the best for my iced coffee. Contigo was nice enough and sent me...shaker cups. I didn't need shaker cups, not at all, specially not 4. I gave them to my sister in laws. Keurig even stopped carrying them but I think my local Albertson's/Tom Thumb/Randall's/Safeway might still carry them. Walmart apparently wants 35 for this 12$ cup. Do NOT put lid in dishwasher, that's what makes those springs rust quicker and break apart. Wash by hand and keep the spring load open while drying or you'll get that black stuff on the seal that won't even bleach out.

I’m always looking for a convenient, spill-proof tumbler for shakes or cold drinks on the go, and the Autoclose feature sounds super practical — especially if you’re walking, commuting, or just don’t want any mess. The size (20 oz) also seems perfect for one drink without being too bulky. I like the idea that it automatically seals when the straw is removed, and I’ve read that it’s easy to clean and doesn’t leak, which is a big plus for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Water Tumbler EVER The double walled feature kept my water cold for hours, which is unusual for a water tumbler with a straw. Also, this DID NOT LEAK! I'm not going to lie, I had my doubts when purchasing this, but they all disappeared. When you take the straw out there is a closing mechanism on the lid so you can shake it, turn it upside-down, or even throw it in your bag. I take this with me wherever I go. Awesome product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All Time Favorite This is my all time favorite tumbler going on... 7 years I think. Absolutely perfect for mixing up "on the go" drink mixes. Absolutely leak-proof without the straw in. With the straw in, you don't get any sloshing/leaking out of the straw hole, and the straw stays put. Insulation is decent, as good as you'll get with a transparent plastic container, maybe not quite as good as clunky stainless steel. Cleans easily, does not retain weird flavors. Very durable, in fact today was the first time I damaged one by knocking it on the floor with the lid half attached and forcing only one side of the lid on such that I can't unscrew it. (Hard to explain, freak accident which no threaded container would survive.) I've bought several back-ups just in case, because I'll be super sad if they ever stop making this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This tumbler is great quality and looks very nice! I love sipping from this tumbler. It is dishwasher safe, which is very important to me, and it has a decent capacity. The lock on the cap is great, but it is effective only when I remove the straw. The straw then presents a slight issue, as there is no place to store it with the tumbler. Travelling with it, intending to sip whenever I like, is therefore not very practical. Otherwise, it works perfectly well as a tumbler for use on the go. I really appreciate the thickness of the material, as it feels exclusive and sturdy in the hand. I also love the unique colour combination and design. It looks beautiful — aqua is one of my favourite colours, and the purple complements it wonderfully. The white twist-cap reminds me of a snow-capped mountain top, which fits perfectly with the glacial theme! And, I am quite a fan :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to stay hydrated at home! Love this tumbler, I’ve had it more than 5yrs! It’s 20oz so holds plenty and with the straw and double-walled insulation, makes it nice to drink from. The only caveat is that the auto close hatch only seals when the straw is removed, and then there’s nowhere to put the straw! For that reason, it’s not really suitable for popping in a bag and going out, but it’d likely work fine on car rides, etc. The whole lot is dishwasher safe which is so important for me.

I wish they would come back out with more of these in more colors again. For anyone who wants a real straw with their cup, this cup is perfect. Dishwasher safe, nice size, easy to open and refill and use. I love that they’re see through so I can see how much I have left and if I need a refill.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage- Like everything Contigo We bought 9 of these cups and they are all garbage. 1) all of the straws have broken, 2) all, but 2 of the spring loaded caps have broken (leaving plastic in the drink that I swallowed on one occasion) 3) they don't keep drinks cold very long and still build up condensation on the outside (meaning they don't insulate well)

These spill-proof cups are the ideal size and very durable; I haven’t had a lid break in 4 years of daily use. A couple of straws broke so bought some clear replacement straws from this site. These tumblers also make great gifts. Wish they still made the purple version.

Ones from S*((bucks and Walmart etc...and this one that I have it is clear with a blue straw I don't know if its how it fits in my hand or what, but I drink more water out of this one then any of the others one! I normally don't write reviews, but I JUST love this cup!

Once you put the straw in obviously this function doesn’t do anything and you can’t really take your straw out cause it’ll be wet. It is made well but doesn’t do anything to keep drinks cold, however the double thickness prevents condensation.

It comes with a reusable straw that doesn't leak if u put upside down or on side. Easy to maintain . I recommend contigo to everyone. It's a wonderful drinking product!!

There is no leakage and the bottle is very easy to clean. As the walls are insulated, maintains the liquid temperature for a fair amount of time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from They start off great… After a while, they can crack and the piece with the hinge that holds the straw in place can break and it is no longer “spill proof” - I’ve had several of these in multiple sizes. If they are going to be used by anyone who might drop them, I would definitely not recommend them for them.

So you shouldn’t have any issues using the sink in break room. I haven’t had any spills and it’s not as loud and clunky as normal bottle shakers.
