I love the lid because it has a button that opens it to drink easily, and it doesn't leak at all. It's great for driving. I would definitely recommend to anyone who takes their hot morning drinks with them every day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible lid design You shouldn’t even be able to sell a product like this. The way the lid is designed, it is a haven for germs and crud. Even putting it in the dishwasher, I doubt that it really gets clean. My Husband bought it for himself and I hope he doesn’t get some kind of disease from it. Not a happy Wife, no happy life here from his purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Soapy lid I have had my Contigo cup for a while now. We haven't had a dishwasher in a while and it has ruined me. The lid of the cup has been holding on to soap residue and has been making my coffee soapy and I can't drink it. This cup is not for handwashing, It would work so well if I didn't drink soap every time I tried to use it.

And, to keep the lids clean and sanitized, we do run to them through a dishwasher. This eventually erodes the exterior grip. We'd buy replacement lids since the SS bodies were pristine. Now those lids seem no longer available. Why?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality has gone down Have had a Contigo West Loop for almost ten years but it’s getting banged up. Ordered a new 16oz and the quality has really declined. The metal is thinner, I can feel the mug flex in my hand when I squeeze it to pick up. The plastic on the top also feels lower quality too

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Bottle for Which I Have Been Waiting I have been buying 'spill-proof' and 'leak-proof' bottles for decades (yes, decades). They all disappointed. This Contigo is, in fact, leak-proof and spill-proof - at least so far. I do not know what months and years of use will do to it. For now, though, I am in Heaven!

It’s really lightweight and it doesn’t make any weird noises whenever you’re drinking. But there’s more! Cleaning it is the easiest part.
