doesn't keep cold as long as advertised
I loved the design and the fact that it had a cup and that's what caught my attention as I drink A LOT of iced tea. I do this thing where I keep my liquid in the freezer, before putting it in the thermos, till it gets like a slushy from 7-11 and my old one keep it that way for a solid 8+ hours. This product being much nicer looking and more expensive, I thought would keep it that way even longer! But upon first use I didn't keep it that way even 4 hours. It was still cold but not slushy like I like it. And also it leaked. I test them also by just turning them upside down to see if it leaks and it did.

Very disappointing - doesn't keep stuff hot
When I saw this flask at Costco a few weeks ago, I immediately added it to my basket. You see, I have 6 travel mugs purchased over the years and every single one continues to keep my drinks at the perfect temperature (hot or cold) after countless uses (and always being washed in the dishwasher, which is not recommended).
Well, it pains me to say that the thermal bottle does not perform in any way as well as the mugs. The best it can do after about 4 hours is give me warm(ish) coffee, which totally defeats the purpose in the first place. I haven't tried cold liquids yet, but expect the same poor result.
Very disappointing; I expect this kind of poor performance from competitors, not Contigo.

Doesn't keep liquids warm for too long
Got this bottle 2 days ago, it really doesn't keep my water hot for too long.
It keeps the water hot for about 5 hours if you don't open it too much, and after that the water are only warm and cannot be used for hot drinks (I use it for mate).
Also for some reason even after a short while (less than an hour!!), you need to pour some cold water before you get to the hot water, which is weird.
The product is very disappointing considering the price and the advertised specifications.
Although the product overall is not very good, it has the advantage of a very comfortable opening, which allows very good control over the water flow.

Great Thermos.
Keeps coffee hot as long as you follow directions and only do a half turn to open the core and pour. Disassemble is easy. I give it a four because the core is difficult to reinsert into the wider mouth. Three pieces...cup,wide mouth and core assemble into Thermos. Not sure the hours it stay "hot" hits the specifications in the as but it does keep coffee hot for 8 hours. I have two and enjoy
them. Easy to clean. Tip...I assemble the core and mouth piece first, then fill the thermos and then screw in the wide mouth already assembled. Otherwise it can get messy.

Very disappointed...
I got this because i loved my snapseal byron and when i saw that it said it keeps drinks cold for like 2 days and hot for 1 day, i thought this would be even better than the byron. Boy was i wrong. After an hour or 2, my cold drinks are noticeably warmer and vice versa. With my byron, i could have ice water in it a couple hours before i go to bed and wake up the next morning with a lot of ice still in it. With this the ice would be melted by the time i went to bed. Glad i paid more money for this than my byron and it isn't even half as effective.

Thermalock thermal bottle
Keeps liquid hot...forever (it seems). I love it! I sip my hot tea (25oz) over the course of several hours at track meets when it is COLD outside. The cup is perfect. I am extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend the product highly.

Purchased 3 months ago and loved it until I found large black flakes of some kind of plastic film in my coffee. It appears to be pealing off from the inside the thermos. I sent an email w/photos 2 weeks ago, but have not heard from anyone regarding this problem. I do not recommend this product.

Really good product
I'm surprised at the amount of negative reviews this product has received. It seems I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum and very happy with my purchase. I've used this bottle several times outdoors in freezing temperatures for 12 hours at a time and at the end my drink has always stayed hot to the point where you have to let it cool down after pouring.
I like the stylish ergonomic design that makes opening and pouring easy. I've never experienced any leaks even when keeping the bottle on its side. The design of the lid makes it easy to take apart and clean thoroughly.
I would recommend this bottle to any anyone who enjoys having a hot drink on the go.
