Rated 4 out of 5 by from These cups are tough. They can last for years. I love the Contigo West Loop Stainless Steel travel mug. It keeps hot beverages hot for up to 5 hours and keeps cold beverages cold for up to 12 hours. This might is considered spill proof because it has AutoSeal technology in the screw down top. It also has a lock button to make sure that the release button doesn't get pushed when not in use, and makes it safer to carry in your favorite tote bag. I have 7 of these. 3 are in use and I have 4 of them still in the box, because I got an amazing clearance deal on them. I could not pass them up because I loved the ones I already had so much. I have used them for years. The only downfall to them is that if you hand wash your dishes, the little rubber stopper CAN come out if scrubbed hard enough, so take care that you lightly rub or brush it clean. I use a straw cleaner brush to clean the lid. The internal lid mechanism clicks open . The parts can be hard to clean up in them where it hinges, so I would get a straw brush. I would also use it in the mouth spout. I realize that those things may sound bad, but it's not as bad as it seems. I do wish that Contigo sold replacements for the rubber stopper, or at least a replacement lid, because if anything happens to the lid, you have the nice stainless cup left without being able to use it. If all else fails, and the cup has gone through normal use, Contigo will, upon their own discretion send you a new cup of the one that you purchased ever fails. Contigo is a good company, that makes awesome products. I will continue to buy from them. Also, I wholeheartedly recommend their stainless mugs to family, friends, and the general public, for camping, hiking, traveling, or sitting at home possibly enjoying a nice warm cup of coffee.
