Contigo is one of the best travel mugs on the market. It keeps liquids hot or cold for long periods of time. I have never had it to leak and they are very durable. They also last for years!

This is the best mug I've ever owned. It seals automatically and doesn't spill when you knock it over. It keeps my coffee so very hot for hours. I will definitely be buying more of these.

It's barely a month!

Great product for maintaining heat /cold
I recently purchased my husband and I a new set of the 16 Oz Contigo insulated travel mugs. We have an older pair (4-5 years) that have plastic lids and while they still work well, their finish is all chipping-off. These new ones are great at keeping our tea/coffee hot but, I am currently experiencing a foul /skunky smell and taste. As the cup portion is just a solid straight-walled tumbler, I have to believe that the problem lies in the lid? We have probably used each cup less than 20 times and following each use they have been thoroughly soaked and washed in hot, soapy water.
Recently, as the foul smell /taste has lingered, I have attempted the following ;
1) Soaking, then washing in water mixed with baking soda.
2) Soaking and washing in an Oxy-clean/water solution.
And finally, 3) Soaking for a couple of hours in a diluted bleach/water solution.
The BAD taste /smell is STILL there! Other than this issue, I am quite happy with the travel mug. However, due to this on-going concern, I would not be able to recommend this product to others. If you can offer me a a solution to this odor problem, I would greatly
appreciate it. The attached photo shows one of our old ones (green) with the finish chipping off (left) and the new one (dk. blue) that has the offensive odor /taste.

No spills or leaking with this mug .
I have been using this cup daily and it has been the best travel mug I have ever used . This mug literally does not spill or leak and I tested it pretty well. I make my coffee every morning and pour it in the mug around 4:30 am each morning , by 6 it is still hot like I just poured it . I travel daily for work , and have had previous spills with hot coffee along the way . This mug fits perfect in the cup holder in my car and stays in place and if topped or dropped it has not spilled once. To use the mug it is simple , just drink while pushing the button on the front of the lid, may sound inconvenient but my hand goes there anyway when I drink from a mug , pushing the button opens the auto seal and allows the liquid to come out. Just release the button afterwards , and the auto seal is activated. On the top of the lid, which is also removable for easy cleaning , there is a little lock sensor where you can’t either push to completely seal the lid which locks the button you would press to release your drink . I find this button handy as well because I have children who I wouldn’t want getting a hold of my cup of hot coffee . This is also convenient if I am walking and accidentally press the release button this would lock it so even if the button isn’t pressed the lid will be sealed . I like the look and few of this cup and would like to purchase one more in another color . I enjoy using this mug over others and will continue to use this mug for my daily .

By far the best cup ever!
This Contigo cup kept my hot coffee hot for hours! I would go in to wrk early morning at 8am and my coffee would still be hot by lunch time if I had any left. I usually will finish my coffee but at least the last few sips aren’t cold. It also kept my milk cold for a very long time when I decided to test it for insulating the coffee cold. My milk stayed as cold as when I poured it even by the time I wanted to have my donut wit it.
There couldn’t have been a better invention. Not only did it keep my drinks at the temperature that I wanted, but it absolutely is spill proof. Having kids around me has always been tough when it comes to spills. I’ve had cereal dumped on me and kolaid spilled all over me. A coffee spill has been yet to come and im not waiting on one now that I have this amazing mug. It can get knocked over or fall and it won’t allow for spill. You can hold it tilted and it also won’t spill. If you want to continue drinking, you just push the very obvious seal lock button. U hold it down to drink and let go to seal the opening again.
Another thing I notice is said that there was no condensation outside the cup like there usually is when I get cold drinks from Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks. It stayed cold and didn’t produce any condensation.
I will repeat this mug is amazing and one of a kind. It is a life saver especially around my kids. Now that coffee spill day will never come as long as I’m using my greatest mug I’ve ever owned. My mom actually was so jealous I had one and now wants one of her own. You don’t need kids to have spills I guess. She is just always prone to spilling things so this would be great for her as well.
