Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well at first then wears out fast Loved it at first but I’ve only had it for 5 months and the spring loaded handle won’t open up the lid enough to let coffee through so it dribbles all over. I’ve purchased 3 different bottles/mugs from contigo with spring loaded seals and all have failed within first 5 months or less. Won’t be buying from this company again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I prefer the older style mouthpiece I have been using Contigo Autoseal travel mugs exclusively for over 10 years and love them. One my older mugs developed a leak. I received a free replacement from Contigo. Unfortunately I do not like the new style mouthpiece and will be shopping for mugs that have a mouthpiece similar to the older Contigo Autoseal mugs.

I loved the concept in the original (Randolph), beautifully designed, comfortable to hold, reliable, right size for most occasions. Unfortunately, this replacement to the lineup is a dud. Please bring back the Randolph!!!

You had the BEST autoseal mug that was 16 oz and made contigo famous for it's quality. Why would you try to change it ??? It was perfect and now this version terrible. Bring back the original and you will make EVERYONE SUPER HAPPY!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Construction Work I have had my mug for a few years now. I use it all day everyday, it goes every where with me. I am a concrete construction worker, who also drives heavy equipment. I love the lid and handle. I can hang my mug on my tool belt, or on the handles in the equipment. The self sealing on the lid is awesome. Now matter what angle it hangs, my coffee does not spill. I have dropped it, lost it, had it sling shot out of equpment and fly accross the yard, and it holds tuff time and time. I will never try anything else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great mug I love this mug it looks great and it keeps my tea nice and warm for about three hours and it's also leak proof and easy to clean I did the five hour test and after three hours my tea started to get cold but it works great to keep my water cold for long time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great while it works Love the coffee cup. Have been using these for many years, but as many people have mentioned the lids wear out fast. I used to just buy replacement lids every couple years wich I wasn't pleased with but it was worth it because I loved the coffee cup so much. Sad I couldn't find replacement lids anymore. These are expensive cups to replace every couple years but I love the no spill technology and the handle makes it easier for me to use due to my arthritis. Wish they would bring back replacement lids.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality Control Disaster I have 2 of these mugs and the lids have failed on both. Only a dribble comes out. My husband tried to fix one, but it's impossible. I really am upset about this as I do like the Contigo cups. I will have to switch to another brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best on the Market I own three with handles. One for water and one for coffee. The third is a stand-by in case I lose one! I do not want to be without. I have had no trouble with the lids. I have used two of them for more than a year. I had a fourth one before these. I carried it everywhere until I left it in the doctor’s office. No problems with it either. I do not remember where I first found Contigo but I carried water to work in it for years. It sits on my night stand with ice and water. Then I found Contigo on QVC about 16 years ago. I bought them for everyone in my family. You disappeared there. I prefer the handled ones because I am always carrying a dozen things and can just catch it with a finger and go. Between my husband and myself we currently have 7 in the house, in use. I have dropped one many times and they have never broken. I have other similar cups in my cupboard given as gifts but they are not the quality I have found with Contigo. I sit on my bed and read, toss the cup on the bed, they never leak. Their size is perfect. Thank you for your product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst designed lid This is the 3rd one of these and the same thing happens every time, the plastic plunger in lid breaks or cracks and will no longer open so you can drink from it. You have replaced it once already and it still has the same design flaw.

I especially like being able to tuck the handle into my belt enabling me to carry my coffee and have both hands free. I wish Contigo would return to the previous cap mechanism. I have previous versions of this mug that are 4-5 years old and still work beautifully. They don't keep my coffee as hot as long but they still open fully allowing me to drink my coffee! I have three of the new models, non of which have worked properly a year after purchase.

I'm so sorry Contigo, I'm only able to give this travel mug 3 stars and as much as I loved, really loved this mug I would not be able to recommend it to others... A week after I purchased the mug, I was so happy with it that I wrote a review on the website of the store I purchased it from...I gave it 5 stars and said that if I were Oprah this mug would be on my favorite things list... There was nothing I didn't like about it...I've had a lot of travel mugs in my life, but none ever came close to this mug... I truly could go on and on about the features, but just read the company's description it's all true... BUT, it's the same old problem lots of other reviewers have had with it, that dang gone lid...What's up with that lid? It broke after 1 month...I went and bought a 2nd mug, but it also didn't work after about 6 weeks... I'm disappointed that reviewers have had this same issue for a very long time and Contigo hasn't found a fix for it... Again, Contigo, I love this cup, but I can't keep buying it if it's not going to work so soon after buying it...

Absolutely loved this mug until...This was the best mug I ever had, until Coffee stopped flowing when the button was pressed. I believe the rubber gaskets on the two prongs have expanded over time. Remove the rubber gaskets off the two prongs and coffee will again flow when the button is pressed. I suggest engineering should review the rubber material being used. I also suggest offering the rubber gaskets for sale on the website. Good for a year, but gaskets expand and go bad after a year. Coffee stops flowing when the button is pressed. Remove the rubber gaskets and coffee flows again. But with gaskets removed it is no longer spill-proof. I don't see how to purchase the gaskets. If able to purchase the gaskets, this would get a higher review.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I submitted claims for 3 Contigo Auto Seal mugs. Coffee remained hot for several hours. After a period of time coffee came out as a dribble or less. CS replaced the mugs. In a short time 2 of the replacements did the same thing. They were also replaced. (Reluctantly.) once again they have gone down to a dribble. I will not go thru the trouble of submitting a claim. I see I am not alone with this problem. This would be a great mug if not for the for mentioned problem with lids. Byers beware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I really appreciate this travel mug!!! I have had mine for 5+ years and it is still my go-to travel mug. It consistently keeps my coffee hot even on very cold winter days while cleaning the (unheated!) barn. Fun fact: If you leave it in the hot sun with a hot drink, again even in winter, your drink will even gain warmth. I love my old style press-with-your-thumb locking /unlocking button to prevent any accidental spills and secure warmth. The only sad problem is that after a thousand washes in the dishwasher, the plastic and rubber components are more susceptible to picking up an after taste from the dishwasher tabs. Simple solution: I don't wash it in the diswasher anymore! I abuse travel mugs because they go to the barn, on the tractor, spend hours on a zero turn mower, etc. and I can say this one is my absolute favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps Very Cold This Contigo Stainless steel travel mug with autoseal vacuum is one of the best travel mugs we have owned its great I love it with my cold coffee any cold drinks Since my Ice last quite a while and does not melt for a very long time and when it does melt it keeps it very cold. The hot drinks also keep them for long as well just as its decribed, my husband has to rise and shine very early in the am and he it maintains his coffee hot for a couple hours that makes him very happy He does not need to buy store coffee. Its also a great feature the vacuum seal it keeps the lid closed with the lock feature it comes with to avoid spilling, especially helpful if your running to work or you work on the road like my husband And get to enjoy your coffee or hot drink when you get a chance. The mug itself is very sturdy make sure you close cap very good to avoid any spilling for not twisting cap correctly. It stands any dropping its stainless steel so if you use as described it will last for a very long time. Just follow instructions to care for the cap and wash it good and should be a very long lasting mug.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't Last LOVE these.... until they don't work. I have severe nerve damage so I can't feel my hands and I shake a lot so I need a sealed mug. These work Very Well plus the handle helps keep the mug from slipping out of my hand when I shake. I now have 6 of them.... but NONE of them work now!!! They are so expensive I'm not sure if they are worth buying due to the failure rate. If you don't need to use it often, they might last, but with pretty much continuous use, they will NOT hold up!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Usually love Contigo. But... My husband and I are constantly drinking coffee. All day, every day. And we have used the old locking Contigo Mugs for years. Both of ours were finally getting pretty awful looking, so we decided to upgrade to these. We were both super excited about the handle, the lock, and the fact that you can drink out of either side. But, we have had them for all of 2 months, and both of the thumb buttons have stopped working. Ridiculous! I never wash them in the dishwasher (even though the lids are supposedly dishwasher safe) they've never been dropped or anything. We have both went back to our old ugly cups because neither of us can stand the slow, almost absent trickle that these ones have now. If this is the new technology Contigo is going to be using, we unfortunately are going to have to find another brand.
