Rated 5 out of 5 by from New favorite coffee mug I love the lid on this coffee mug. You hold the top of the handle down to open the lock to be able to drink from the mug. There is a spot on both sides of the lid to drink from, so it works perfectly no matter if you are left or right handed. The lid opens up to make it easy to clean, which I love. I put coffee in the mug at 10 am and 5 hours later it was still hot. I was super impressed.

I would make my coffee, take it to drop my kids off at school, go study for an hour before class, and my coffee was still warm after the hour long class. Perfect if you have little ones around because you can lock the handle so they don’t accidentally spill hot coffee/tea on themselves. The inside opens up, yet stays attached for cleaning.

But after a while the trigger stopped working, the coffee would barely tribble out and when I tipped it up I ended up with coffee on my face and cloths. I love my contigo cups and water bottles but this lid is not good.. It is hard to rate this because when I first got it it was great but after a few months the lid just didn't work.

Each time I come on the website just to try to order replacement lid, they always seem to be out. I tried going back to using an old coffee mug from another company but after having a contigo and how hot my coffee stays, I hate others but they get expensive to keep having to buy a new mug due to lid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An actual no-spill lid I am always using a to-go mug in the mornings on my way to work and this is honestly the first one that I found that actually does not leak from the lid. The design is ergonomic and has a great pressure-release system, and boy does it keep things hot. I haven't tried a cold beverage in it, but I imagine that the insulation would be great for that, too. I really like this mug.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this mug! I have four of these mugs and have bought replacement lids. I have this mug with me at all times. My students call me Ms. Coffee. I have only one issue... the cup will not open all the way at the seal to release coffee.. I try to drink and the coffee comes from the far side and spills all over me.. What a waste of coffee. I will order a new lid. I cant be with out this mug!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Need replacement lid I love this product since I have arthritis in my hands and the handle makes it much easier to use. However, I have the same problem with it as others said. The button to open the lid wears out and you can't get the liquid out of the cup. Please start selling replacement lids. As a major company, this should be basic customer service when you know your product has a flaw.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't Buy. This "updated" version of the autoseal is not nearly as good as the original. I have loved my continuo mug since it first came out. When the lid wore out (began leaking because the rubber ring wore out), I bought this model. The first version lasted several years. This one lasted only six months before leaking through the air holes and through the handle. I treated this one exactly the same as my other one including dishwashing it every day. The randomly one lasted five years before I needed a replacement lid. I still use it. I have since thrown two of these away and found the older model online elsewhere. I will be sad when the old inventory runs out as I will not be spending any more money on these (not) "better newer ones." Please stop making changes that actually make things worse. The texture of the plastic on this model is also rougher which I do not enjoy compared to the smooth plastic on the original.

I use it nearly everyday. I planned to purchase a dozen or two for him to personalize for my next years submarine crew reunion. They would make great gifts, but have had trouble locating an amount of black mugs at any store.

Always want the handle, much easier to carry when walking the dogs or carrying other stuff into work. Please don't ever discontinue this design! Only issue is that the color wears off all the time, gets scratched off and I never put in the dishwasher.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fix the lid that deteriorates in a few months! I love this design, can switch hands without having to unscrew the lid and realign the spout like all other mugs! And I can't hold onto a big mug while walking the dogs etc. too uncomfortable especially if you have any arthritis in your hand. BUT I have to replace this mug every few months because the stupid spring release gets weak and stops opening the lid all the way resulting in having to tip the cup up higher and then it dribbles all over your clothes. I have multiple stained tops thanks to this lid. Have spent a lot of money buying this mug over and over due to this lid with the cheap spring mechanism that wears out too fast. I have never even put these in the dishwasher like it's says you can, that would probably expedite the lid demise even more. Please put a stronger spring in this lid and you will have a winner.... Also can you make it in a 20 oz with the 7 hour hot rating like some of your other mugs? Please?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as it used to be. I used to buy the Randolf model and never had a problem with the lid. The only reason I replaced them was because the paint would wear off. It came time to replace it and unfortunately, there is this new model. My husband was able to use it for a couple of months. It no longer seals and leaks. I wish they hadn't updated this mug. It was great the way it was.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Mug... understand the limited lifespan If you read the reviews, you will find many that say this is the best mug ever. I was in that camp and replaced 7 Randolph models (used on my Motorcycle mug holder) with 4 of these. I LOVE them... right up until the button quits dispensing coffee. It is a slow process that occurs over time. You get less and less flow until finally you run the risk of tilting the mug up so high that the coffee spills over the hole on the other side. The result is hot coffee all over your face and shirt. Also... when you do get coffee... the little part that is left in the lid does not drain back into the cup. It pools and causes coffee drips to splash around. There is some piece that needs to be re-engineered in the lid. If Contigo could solve this problem.... it WOULD be the best mug ever! BTW... I'm writing this eval because I was on the site looking for replacement lids. It does not look like they sell replacements for this model.

And it worked just fine - but when I changed jobs I cleaned and stored it for future use. When I took this mug out of storage I found that the inside was not really stainless steel - IT WAS COMPLETELY CORRODED INSIDE!!!

The cup keeps coffee hot for hours as advertised. Sadly, the button mechanism on all 6 has stopped working. I came to this site to see if I could buy replacement lids for mine, but for some crazy reason Contigo does not sell replacement lids of this model. Why?

It doesn't leak with button lock on lid and I use it at home or on the go. Easy to clean and nice Thermalock vacuum insulation design too. It's very easy to clean and get all into the tint spots. I love that you can press a button in the top and it comes down to clean the whole top area. This mug is Spill Proof to prevent spills and cause accidents.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect travel mug... I love that you don't have to take apart the lid to clean it but yet it has a great seal on it. No leaks at all. And I had filled it with ice and tea but I forgot it in the car, after over 4 hours in a very hot car, it was 94 out that day, the ice was still in the cup. I can't believe it didn't melt. I definitely recommend this cup.

The flexible rubber seals inside no longer fully open to allow me to drink from it. I tried soaking it and wiping it gently while pressing the lever. Only an uneven trickle came out. At this point, I guess I just need a new lid which the stores do no stock.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Was great, now same issue with lid as everyone els Keeps the coffee hot but I hate that the lid doesn't open enough to sip properly and I do end up wearing my coffee more than anything else. I thought this design was a great improvement over the snap lids as the rubber gasket kept messing up that seal so I don't' know if I'll go contigo for any other mugs which is disappointing.

The problem was that the release button would not fully open after about six months which meant that drinking was difficult. Sorry, I hope you fix for the future.

Now one of the replacement’s lid has again stopped opening, after 2 months. Sounds like a design flaw. As much as I like the handled travel mug, I’m going back to the handle-less Contigo travel mug.

This Georgia heat really doesn't keep drinks cool for very long at the time. It highly compares to a Yeti cooler cup/mug. I was pleasantly surprised! I grade this mug an A+!!!!!!!!

It has never leaked or had any issues with it keeping my coffee hot. I also play golf on the weekends and use in the morning for coffee and the back nine for cold water. Works great

There is no longer any flow when the handle is pushed, but everything appears to be in working order when opening up the lid. It would be nice if there were a replacement lid for this model.

I've purchased several mugs and I have the same issues, the handles keep falling off. Overall it's a good product, keeps drinks cold even overnight. Are you aware of issues with the handle and have you taken steps to fix the problem?

Loved them for nearly a year and then, like so many other comments, the lever no longer opens it so you can drink from it. I never put them through the dishwasher but cleaned it regularly. The product was great originally, but I expected a longer life.
