But with this travel mug I can make my coffee at 10 AM and it's still very very warm by 1 o'clock so while I'm walking around I get to enjoy a great cupof coffee . Everybody needs one of these mugs I got mine in a set of two at Costco . Can't say enough positive things about this mug

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for hot liquids This will be good for cold liquids but definitely not for hot liquids. When my husband and I used this for our coffee both of our upper lips got burnt because your lip will rest on the same spot where the liquid comes out. Also, my husband put his in his backpack and it spilled, the snapseal is not as secure as the other tumblers they have that has a lock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My best friend I have the old Byron model, and the black ring ripped, but it works perfectly... The only time that leaked was when I didn't close it (face palm)... It keeps warm my coffee... For cleaning I use a mix of bicarbonated warm water, dishsoap and white vinager, so, after 20 or 30 minutes I can clean it with a brush... I can put a straw in it and works great...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Never leaks... But rubber grip NOT a plus Yes, keeps coffee hot, does not spill... Even when cup is accidentally thrown across the inside of the car (I have kids).. It WILL NOT LEAK OR SPILL.... But the rubber grip is useless. It has gotten stretched or something and gets water underneath it... That water drips down your chest when you drink. Would suggest a different style without the rubber.

I was looking for the little rubber stopper but you don't have them and then was going to order a whole new lid. I will get another mug so I have it for my trip. My I clean my mug every day but the stopper has got black on it and since I am on O2 I don't want any infections.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from leaking lid My byron snapseal 20 oz coffee mug starting leaking everytime it lays on it's side. Like in my lunch box. Causes a problem. I have owned many contigo mugs and currently have 5 and none has ever leaked. Not once. It didn't leak for the first couple of months now I make sure it is standing up at all times. Have to find a model that doesn't leak.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Repeatedly disappointed in lid seal failure I absolutely love these mugs! HOWEVER..... I have purchased 6 of them in the last month (I use 2 each morning for my coffee) because the seal on the lids keeps failing within a couple of weeks and I have to throw them out. There is no repairing it and it is so frustrating. When they work properly they are wonderful, easy to handle, keep my coffee hot for hours. But if you do not watch carefully after each wash and the seal has come loose, then you end up with hot coffee all over you and your car/desk/floor. I have tried other mugs in hopes of finding something similar that would work but they just do not perform as well as these (other than the seal issue) or feel as easy to handle in my hand, or fit my truck cupholder as well. I wish Contigo would fix this issue so I could enjoy using my mugs again and not have to worry/stress over wondering just how long the next mug I purchase is going to last before I have to go buy another replacement.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Keeps hot drinks WARM, not HOT 20 oz.grey - The performance is not what I expected. 190° went down to 125° after 6 hours when left sealed on the counter at room temp. It keeps hot coffee WARM but not HOT. Perhaps I got a defective unit but the only claim I can see is "Will keep hot drinks hot for 7 hours" but that is not my experience. Quality seems OK but nothing special.

It comes off and breaks. I have purchased 2 of these mugs for my wife and myself and have had issues with both. Very dissatisfied with my contigo because of this issue. Would not purchase again.

I’m thinking the reason we can’t buy these parts separately is because you want us to keep buying them. ; ) I’ll keep buying them, best quality cup and best at keeping your drink either hot or cold.

But it also has great insulation so it keeps drinks hot or cold for hours, and a good rubber grip. Everyone who sees this bottle wants one too - we feel part of a quickly-growing Contigo family around us!

The lid design is a bit frustrating - it was leakproof for the first couple weeks after I bought it but now the piece that is supposed to block the opening allows liquid to leak through, even in the closed position. Coffee, coffee everywhere....

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good cup, bad gasket. The cup does it's job. Mostly. However the reason I bought it is the leak proof seal. Turns out, not so leak proof. Had the thing about 3mo, and the gasket stretched so now it leaks. I don't think it was properly cured, as it's only the area near the spout that leaks. This seems to be a common problem, but hasn't been fixed yet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lid has poor design I’ve had this mug replaced twice because the rubber ring on the inside of the lid has come out and then the mug leaks. The third one which was shipped to me May 17th has the same issue the ring came out. It’s great that there’s a lifetime warranty and has been replaced with no hassle but I don’t even want another replacement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty lid, waste of money Bought this specific travel mug at Walmart 2 weeks ago just to use it the next morning and find that it leaks along the bottom of the lid and the rubber stopper isn’t sitting against the lid properly. Tried taking it back to Walmart and I was told it’s a manufactures defect I need to contact them. At this point it’s useless.

My ice water stays icy cold even over night and my coffee stays hot till its gone. I love that it is leak proof because it gets tossed around in my lunch bag and never leaks. I highly recommend trying it.

My only complaint, both of the lids leak on my two 20 oz Byron leak and they're only a few months old. Now, I only use the lid when walking between offices. It's really embarrassing when you spill coffee down your shirt in a meeting.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality and design I drink hot coffee, the dispenser is very hard to open, it takes a towel to get a grip then it slop hot coffee on you when it snaps open. The rubber grip on cup does not stay in place it slides up and down. The cup I bought at Walmart is mush better in all aspects and less money. The Contigo did keep coffee hot.

But trying to drink from it without spilling coffee all over myself is a real challenge. I don't like the hole and find it hard to use so I take the cover off to drink. I prefer the old type of spout

I contacted customer service and within thirty minutes I got an email telling me that my order had already been processed. Within two hours I received another message that it had been shipped.

But it is the only one he will use, becaue it keeps his coffee hot, when he gets too busy to drink it in time. He has others that were given to him as a gift, but this is the one he uses!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for cold, alters flavour of hot tea lattes Bought this in the summer for cold drinks. Fogured it would be good for for my hot drinks in the winter. Not so. It keeps my drink hot, but ot alters the flavour of my tea so much I don't want to drink it. Don't know about coffe, but if you drink tea iced chai latte is fine hot, skip it. Go for glass or ceramic.

Ice cubes were still floating! My only complaint is the drinking hole is too small - great for sipping (esp. hot coffee) but not so much for gulping (I was ready for a big hit of that ice tea!)

It's a straight up five-star product with only One problem....no seal replacements. REALLY need those. I lost one seal and the other is stretching out. PLEASE make the seals available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yeti performance at half the cost Bought this to replace my 4 year old Autoseal Contigo. Doesn't disappoint as I've come to expect from Contigo. Keep's my coffee hot for a solid 5-6 hours and will keep ice frozen for a solid 16-20, which is right at the performance of my Yeti. Though I think I prefer the Auto-Seal system to the Snap-Seal. A+++

It keeps my cold drinks cold all morning (or afternoon) and my hot drinks hot (don't forget to vent periodically). Love it, love it, love it. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Mug! minor issues I really enjoy this mug! It keeps my coffee hot for many hours, which is a surprise compared to other mugs I've had. Clean up is pretty easy too. One minor issue, probably due to over use, is that the O ring within the lid has became stretched and occasionally I have a leak run down the mug and onto me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Keeping Coffee warm I have gone through 2 of your travel mugs in the past year and both have loss there insulated properties will not keep coffee warm, maybe 2 hours. when I first used them they lasted 5-6 hours. Have you lessen your design properties for cheaper material the better profits. I reside in Santa Cruz California.

Contigo really needs to remove the selling point that it is leak free when closed because that is actually false advertising. I would love a refund since I now have to replace this thing
