Rated 2 out of 5 by from Was my favorite until the spring stopped working This was my favorite mug for avoiding spills, I used it daily until 1 day I spilled my drink on my bed. I thought maybe I closed it wrong. Nope, turns out e sipping opening wasn't even all the way closed even though its supposed to automatically close. I soaked it and used every cleaning solution I could think of with a straw cleaner to get deep in there but there was nothing stuck in the springs, they just suddenly corroded. No way for me to replace it so I had to throw the cup away. So sad. Now I know not to get a cup woth such intricate parts. It was perfect if only it lasted.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worst cleaning lid ever Why there is not replacement for the lids? Look at the pictures, this lid is so disgusting dirty. I do my best each day at cleaning it but the silicone breaks in tiny pieces each time, I have swallowed so much pieces of the plastic of the lid. This is not safe to use. Imposible to clean and I'm so sad that I will be throwing away a very useful mug to contamination of the planet because there is not replacement for a plastic lid. Do Contigo people expect us to buy a new bottle each time the lid needs replacement? I will but not your brand, I will choose a brand that cares more about the environment than you

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Loved the cup...until now I love my autoseal coffee cup. Keep my coffee hot for a very long time. Only problem I have is this weekend it started leaking. I checked to make sure it was on right and it was. Not sure why it is leaking now. I searched to see if replacement lids were available, but nope.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost a 5 I love how long the cup keeps my coffee warm, though I usually use it to go from home to work, where I drink it without the lid. My ONLY complaint is the lid! It's not an issue with leaking, but the gunk that accumulates around the spring. What the heck is that gunk??? Like I said, the lid is generally only on the cup for a half hour or so; only steam is hitting the lid. I shouldn't need a Q-Tip and/or toothpick to clean a lid that only holds liquids. So is that the rubber, silicone, or whatever breaking down??? What's really gross is when it breaks loose and I haven't realized it until the coffee is in my mouth. Blech! If it weren't for the lid issue, this review would have been a 5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Travel Companion a Girl could ever ask for! Love this mug, I have had this mug almost a decade now. Purchased is on a military base and it has been through a lot, to include a lot of countries. I have used it almost everyday since I purchased it. I has just now showed issues, and it was not even the products fault. My kid wanted to do a "deep" clean on it and threw out the rubber-like stopper in the lid mechanism. If this piece was available for purchase, I definitely would and keep jugging along. Everything about this product has been great. I have never seen anything close to it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as the old design The new version of this product is nowhere near as good as the older one. The older stainless-steel mug — which I had for about six years — was dishwasher safe and still in perfect condition, but when the lid finally broke I went to buy a replacement. I assumed the new lid would be interchangeable with my old mug, but it isn’t — the design has changed. I’m very disappointed that: There’s no option to purchase just a new lid, which customers clearly need. The new design is not dishwasher safe, which is a deal-breaker for me and many others who use these daily. Please either make replacement lids available for older models or redesign the mug to be dishwasher safe — this is a basic usability feature that’s missing from this version.

I have had one for 13+ years and the other for 9+ years; one for home and one for work; both of which have been used everyday. The autoseal saved me a few times when I knocked the mug over and nothing came out on my laptop and my paperwork. PHEW! I recently had an issue with one of the mugs. I contacted customer service and my issue was resolved in record time.
