Straw issueWe like the tumbler but he chews straw and it splits and I don’t see where you can get just the specialized 2 part straws for this tumbler. Hate having to buy whole tumbler just for straw.

MoldI love how it doesn’t leak, however, it will gather mold in the lid that you cannot remove due to how the suction of the lid works. Very dissatisfied.

Contigo Kids Spill Proof Tritan Tumbler 14oz ShakeIf any of you have looked high and low for a truly leak proof straw cup, this is it! My almost 2-year-old can’t suck hard enough to get the water out of the Contigo bottles (which we love for our older kiddos), but these straw cups are perfect and truly leakproof, unlike many others we have tried. We have 6 of them and none of them have had any of the problems some of the lower reviews have described. Every mom needs this. I highly recommended it!!!!

Vent can't be cleaned without ruining the cupGreat cup and my grandson loves it EXCEPT the air flapper valve on the caps lid got so filthy that I had to break away the plastic to try to get it clean. Initially I had just removed the valve itself to try cleaning it ( and hopefully the grime in the kid top) but the little silicone valve did not easily go back into place..pushing it back in with small prying tools used for computer repair must have damaged the valve. It didn't re seat properly and now it leaks badly. I tried to find replacement kids on Amazon , but that doesn't seem to be a thing. Of course , nobody wants their toddler drinking out of a nasty dirty cup, so it's basically junk without another kid. Very disappointing that the cup can't be maintained and should probably be limited to water only, as milk or juice will immediately start growing grime in this vent area.

Not usable after a monthThe straw cup is amazing - until the vent comes out for the straw. I don’t even know how it fell out unless I loosened while handwashing with a straw brush to try and remove any gunk. Now I can’t get that vent back in so it is just a straw cup that leaks if turned upside down. We may keep for home but I def didn’t need to spend $15 for a straw cup. I prefer the cup without the grippy on the bottom, the parts come apart and it’s much easier to clean.

Black mold, once cleaned now its junkI thought this was going to be a great kids cup. But who wants yo make their child sick because of black mold. The mold was all under the silicone parts. Even the part within the straw. Also on and around the dime size silicone piece under the lid. Once I got that piece out and cleaned couldn't get it back in. The little silicone piece that holds that piece in place broke off.

Smelly over time with regular useThese cups are truly no-spill. BUT, after a while they start to STINK. We wash these cups often on the top rack. We use them for milk and water. We allow them to completely dry in a drying rack before putting in cupboard. We make sure the straws are free of excess water before drying. We make sure all these steps are done and still have issues with the smells.

Black mold = sick child or junked cupBlack mold all on and around the silicone parts, even on and under the small dime size silicone piece that was on the underside of the lid. Managed to get it clean but couldn't get that small piece back in place and the little piece that's suppose to hold it in place broke off when trying to put back together. So basically the cup is junk
