Would have been the best cup ever BUT ITS NOT!
This cup is perfect for being peak proof HOWEVER it is not a great cup to clean…the straw comes apart to clean but would have been better if the “gasket” in the straw was removable and there is a space on the outside of the lid where the vent is that collects water and creates build up and mold and you CAN NOT CLEAN IT! I have had two of these cups one a year ago which I did put juice in and another one after reading reviews and such that said “your only suppose to put water in them” which I tried it with out water for months and you still get build up! I wish company would figure out a way to make the all around BEST cup one that is leak proof and one that all of the part can be cleaned properly!!!

Worst Water Bottle Ever
The quality of the plastic of the bottle is excellent, unfortunately cleaning its IMPOSSIBLE. I can't put the valve back in place. The straw, and the venting slit on the top all get moldy and are impossible to clean. I bought three bottles for my grandson but we could not assemble the valve (we tried all the tips and nothing worked) nor could we remove the mold from the vent slit unfortunately we had to throw them in the garbage and worst of all is that they are not cheap at all. Why the designers did not planned / thought about that important detail. I will never ever buy another bottle (CONTIGO) from this brand again.

Perfect for little kids
There are a lot of cups you can buy that claim they are Spill Proof. When you do buy one and turns out their claims are not true. However Contigo makes these Tumbler’s that actually are Spill Proof and come in many different colors. They are the perfect size I think for kids as well. My 8 yr.old son Loves using this cup. He does have many accident , knocking cups over and it drives me crazy at times. The straw that comes with the tumbler is great as well. The straw comes in 2 pieces, you can either push it together or screw it together. The lid is tight and the straw fits tight in the cup so NO leaks at all. Everything is dishwasher safe which is another great feature of the tumbler. Worth every penny.

Outstanding for OLDER ADULTS!!!
My mom is now 100 years old, has dementia and is here at home in hospice, pretty much bedbound. Staying hydrated is important. She was very attached to a sippy cup I found from a tea company that had a straw...but she kept the cup in bed beside her, and when it tipped over which was inevitable, with dementia she was unaware/clueless and her bedding and clothing were getting wet....sometimes we (the nurse or assistant and I) were worried she had another sort of problem....A nurse knew about your cup and was nice enough to get her one...I was blown away at how even upside down and full there really were no leaks! We are so pleased with it but do need to get some extra straws.

Actually Spill Proof and Great Design!
This Contigo Spill Proof Tumbler works great! As long as there is no leftover liquid in the upper part of the straw from when you took a drink, it is spill proof. I love that the straw can be pushed all the way down to the bottom of the cup so that you can drink every last drop before having to re-fill. There is a small covered vent on the lid, but that is also spill proof. This is a great design and is also compact enough to fit in the side pocket of your average backpack. It's great to bring on a short walk. It is also dishwasher safe on top rack only with no heat.

It’s Just Okay
I do love that these cups are mostly leak-proof. However, the fact that you cannot purchase replacement straws is frustrating. We’ve owned four of these cups over the past four years and have had issues with the tab on the bottom of the straw breaking off (we disposed of it), or chew on it (making it impossible to clean) and then there’s the fact that small children like to use the straw as a whistle. Which means I probably actually have all the straws but they’re visiting places other than our cabinet. I really like this cup and would love it if I could purchase replacement straws.

Leak Proof!
My two year old was constantly throwing his cups on the ground and they would leak milk everywhere, so I was on the hunt for a cup that was truly spill-proof. I decided to try the Contigo tumbler after seeing recommendations in one of my mom groups on Facebook. So far, we love it! It seems to be leak-proof, the straw cannot be removed from the cup by him, and it is quite durable, as it has survived several falls to the ground. All of the pieces are also top rack dishwasher safe, which a big plus for me! For those that handwash, the number of pieces may be a downfall, as you have to take the straw apart to clean. My only dislike is that the cups sweats when there is a cold drink in it and his other cups don't.

Great tumbler for kids.
This tumbler works exactly as described. It doesn’t spill or leak when turned over. I even filled it with water and, after turning it over, shook it vigorously as a child would. Didn’t spill a single drop.
The tumbler is made of a thick material that’s easy to grip. The straw can be taken apart to properly clean. It comes with easy to follow care instructions.
The only “con” about this tumbler that I have is the sticky stuff the used to attach the label. It does not want to wash off with plain soap and water.
