Replacement Parts

I need a new lid.  Do you sell replacements?

Yes.  Replacement lids can be found here.

I live in Canada and I am trying to purchase a replacement lid.  Why can't I complete my order?

We charge an additional $3 per lid for shipping to Canada.  Our system cannot process these orders at this time.  You need to either add items to your order in addition to the lids (you will be charged shipping on the other items in your order, but not the lids), or contact us with your shipping and credit card information and we will process the order for you manually.

My AUTOSEAL®  Kids Mug is missing the clear rubber seal that sits on top of the cup and prevents it from leaking.  Can I get a replacement seal?

Yes.  Replacement gaskets for AUTOSEAL® Kids Mugs can be found here.

I don't see the replacement part I need on your website.  Where can I find other replacement parts?

Our website is currently the only place to buy replacement parts.  All replacement parts currently available are listed on our replacement parts page.

Shipping Info

Do you ship outside of the U.S.?

We can only ship to the U.S. and Canada at this time.  We do sell our products to retailers outside of the U.S., however.  Please see the International Distribution section of the FAQs page for details.

When can I expect to receive my order?

Please view our estimated shipping times.

How will I know when my order ships?  Will I receive a tracking number?

You will receive a notification email when your order ships.  It will contain your UPS tracking number.  Please note that you will not receive a shipment notification email or tracking number for shipment of replacement lids or gaskets.  Replacement lids and gaskets are sent from a separate location via USPS.

How much will the shipping cost on my order?

Shipping costs are pulled directly from UPS when you enter your shipping address during check out.  We cannot provide exact shipping costs because they are based on your shipping zip code and current UPS rates, which fluctuate.  As a starting point, if you live in the continental U.S., you should expect to pay about $7 for one item.  Additional items add about 50 cents to $1.00 each to the shipping cost.

How do I ship to an APO or FPO address?

Unfortunately, we do not have the capabilities to ship to an APO or FPO address at this time.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

We can only refund or exchange items that were purchased directly from GoContigo.com.  If you would like a refund or exchange for an item purchased elsewhere, you must return to the place of purchase because they are responsible for your warranty.  All items purchased at GoContigo.com are covered under both a Manufacturing Warranty and a Satisfaction Guarantee.  Check out our Return Policy for more details.

I have a defective item.  How do I make an exchange?

If you purchased the item from our website, please fill out our returns form and someone will contact you with information on how to exchange your item.  If the item was not purchased from our website, please return to the original place of purchase for an exchange or refund.

Care & Use

What is the best way for me to care for my new Contigo® product?

Avoid cleansers containing bleach, chlorine, and/or other harsh chemicals.  Always store the mugs and cups with the lids removed. This will prevent moisture from becoming trapped in the mug or lid, which can lead to the growth of mold.

To maximize the life of your new Contigo® product, we recommend hand washing because it is more gentle than using the dishwasher as dishwashing detergents can be abrasive.   For specific information on whether your mug or cup is dishwasher safe, please read the Care & Use Instructions for your product.  All of our lids are dishwasher safe.

We recommend the following method for hand washing your mug and/or lid:

                 1.  Fill your sink with warm water and add dish soap or dish detergent. Agitate the water to form suds.
                 2.  Place the cup and/or lid into the soapy water so that it is completely submerged.
                 3.  Allow the cup and/or lid to soak for several minutes up to several hours. For cups or lids that are especially dirty, a longer soak will be more effective.
                 4.  Use a soft cloth or sponge to wash the inner and outer surfaces of the mug. Use a bottle brush as needed to remove any residue from the inside and
bottom of the mug. To clean inside the lid, we recommend using a small, pipe-cleaner-style brush, small paint brush (new/unused), or cotton swab.
Refer to lid cleaning instructions below for additional brush cleaning tips.
                 5.  Rinse thoroughly and either towel or air dry.

If hand washing does not get the mug or lid completely clean, or if the mug or lid develops stains or odors, we recommend the following:

                 1.  Fill a small/medium container or bowl with a solution of 1/4 cup of baking soda and 1 quart of warm water.
                 2.  Place the cup/lid into the water so that it is completely submerged.
                 3.  Allow the cup/lid to soak in the baking soda solution for several hours.
                 4.  For stains or odors that persist after several hours of soaking, try soaking overnight in the baking soda solution and/or scrubbing with a small amount
of baking soda on a clean damp sponge. Use caution to avoid scrubbing outside surfaces of painted mugs as this can remove the paint.
                 5.  Rinse thoroughly and either towel or air dry.

What is the best way for me to thoroughly clean my AUTOSEAL® lid?

All AUTOSEAL® lids are dishwasher safe.  If you would like to clean the lids outside of a dishwasher, you may use the hand washing methods listed above and you can try the following:

Run hot, soapy water through the drink hole while depressing the AUTOSEAL® button to allow the water to run completely through the lid.
Clean the underside of the lid with a non-abrasive sponge or swish in hot, soapy water.

If desired, a small, pipe-cleaner-style brush, small arts and crafts paint brush, or a cotton swab can be used to clean the inside of the
AUTOSEAL® mechanism.  Turn lid so the underside is facing up and fill lid with hot soapy water.  Run brush head or swab along the
following areas to ensure complete cleaning:

                                1.  Underneath and along both sides of the center plastic piece of the lid.  Reference "A" below.
                                2.  Along both the inner and outer walls of the threading.  Reference "B" below.
                                3.  The underside of the spout.  Reference "C" below.

Depress button over a sink to drain hot soapy water from the lid.  Rinse repeatedly with hot water to remove the soap and any debris.  Flip lid over.

                                  4.  Dispense a small amount of soap into the spout area.  Depress AUTOSEAL® button so the spout opens and use the brush head/swab to
clean the spout in the open and closed position.  Reference "D" below.  Rinse repeatedly with hot water to wash away soap and debris.

Always rinse the lid after use if you are not going to clean it right away.  Never store the lid on the body of the mug after cleaning, because that could trap liquid inside of the mug, which can lead to the growth of mold.
