Care & Use - Travel Mugs

WARNING:

• Careful.  The beverage you are about to enjoy is very hot.  For best results always use caution.
• Always press the AUTOSEAL^® button when the tumbler is in the upright position prior to lifting it to drink.  This will release any built-up pressure.  Release button to seal mug. 
• Keep out of reach of children when filled with hot liquids.
• Prior to drinking, check to ensure the lid is properly threaded to body and screwed down 100%.  Button should be depressed to release pressure each time the lid is screwed on.
• If filling with boiling liquids, allow liquid to cool down for at least 3 minutes before sealing with the lid.
• Coffee brewed below boiling temperatures can be poured directly from coffee makers into the mug without waiting for liquid to cool down.
• Avoid accidental depressing of button by sliding the button down to lock, exposing the red "locked" area above the button.
• Do not overfill.  Fill liquids to just below the threading in the body. 
• Do not microwave and do not freeze.      
• Do not use cleaners containing bleach, chlorine, abrasives, and/or other harsh chemicals.

USAGE RECOMMENDATIONS:

• Suitable for hot and cold beverages.

                                –  Use a non-abrasive sponge or brush/swab to clean the drink spout once the button is lifted up from the handle and the undercarriage is unlocked 
                                    and folded open.
                                –  Swish lid in hot soapy water and rinse thoroughly holding the lid both rightside up and upside down.
                                –  Leave lid parts open to dry.

• The arrow below points to a lock feature.  In the locked position, the AUTOSEAL^® button cannot be depressed.  This lock feature is designed to avoid unintended depressing of the push-button when the mug is being transported full of liquid.  Press down on the lock icon on the top of the lid exposing the red indicator strip.  To unlock the button, press the side of the lock with no icon.

WARNING:

• Careful. The beverage you are about to enjoy is very hot. For best results always use caution.
• Always press the AUTOSEAL^® button when the tumbler is in the upright position prior to lifting it to drink.  This will release any built-up pressure. Release button to seal mug.
• Keep out of reach of children when filled with hot liquids.
• Prior to drinking, check to ensure the lid is properly threaded to body and screwed down 100%.  Button should be depressed to release pressure each time the lid is screwed on.
• If filling with boiling liquids, allow liquid to cool down for at least 3 minutes before sealing with the lid.
• Coffee brewed below boiling temperatures can be poured directly from coffee makers into the mug without waiting for liquid to cool down.
• Avoid accidental depressing of button by keeping button free and clear of other objects.
• Do not overfill.  Fill liquids to just below the threading in the body. 
• Do not microwave and do not freeze.
• Do not use cleaners containing bleach, chlorine, abrasives, and/or other harsh chemicals.

USAGE RECOMMENDATIONS:

• Suitable for hot and cold beverages. 
• To screw the lid on easily and safely place lid on top of mug.  Apply slight downward pressure and rotate counter-clockwise until you hear a click and lid falls into place.  Proceed to rotate lid clockwise to tighten down.
• The AUTOSEAL^® lid that came with your new purchase is designed to only fit your new Contigo^® mug.  Not for use with other products.
• AUTOSEAL^® lid is designed to help prevent spills from accidental tipping.
• Following your purchase, wash all parts with hot soapy water before use. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Always store with lid removed to allow parts to dry completely.
• Lid is top-rack dishwasher safe.
• Hand wash mug body.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:

                 Wash thoroughly before first use.
                 
                 RINSE LID IMMEDIATELY AFTER EACH USE with warm water, pressing the AUTOSEAL^® button so water flows through Drink Spout and Vent Hole.  

                 Then wash lid in top rack of dishwasher, or soak lid for 10 minutes in hot, soapy tap water.  Rinse thoroughly.

                 Unpainted stainless steel bodies are top-rack dishwasher safe.  Painted stainless steel bodies should be hand washed with warm water and a mild detergent and
                 then rinsed thoroughly.

                 ALWAYS STORE MUG WITH LID REMOVED to allow parts to dry completely.

• Sealing lid is designed to help prevent spills from accidental tipping.
• Product can be used for both hot and cold liquids.
• Hand wash all parts with hot soapy water before use. Clean with lid in the open position. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Always store with lid removed.
• The lid closure tab should be in the open position when securing lid onto mug or when removing lid. Prior to drinking check to ensure the lid is secured tightly.
• Lid can be positioned for right- or left-handed drinkers.  
• Lid is top-rack dishwasher safe.  Body of the mug is hand wash only.
• Not recommended for carbonated beverages.

CAUTION:
• Do not use cleaners containing bleach, chlorine, abrasives, and/or other harsh chemicals.
• Do not microwave and do not freeze.
• Do not overfill.  Fill liquids to just below the lid threading.  Hot liquids can burn user. 
• Do not fill with boiling liquids.  Liquid temperatures should be 90 degrees C or less to avoid burning.
