The lid did not screw on properly after the first time. What a piece of junk. We replaced it with the Autoseal which is much better.

I had been putting off buying a new thermos as stupid as that sounds. Whenever I'm in starbucks I always want to buy a new one but am too cheap to make the investment. While in target I saw this mug for $12 and couldn't say no. Best $12 I've spent in a while! It keeps my coffee hot all day (literally). I definitely suggest buying this thermos!

I do love this travel mug (I have 2). I don't leave home without it. My complaint isn't serious, but I do think it's noteworthy. I am a female that wears lipstick to work everyday. The 'Contigo' label trademark is imprinted on the lid at the very place your mouth goes. When cleaning the mug, you have to use a toothbrush to get the lipstick out of the embedded letters! Seems like the label could have gone elsewhere on the lid. That's my rant.

I am what one would call an avid coffee drinker. I have found Contigo's products to be light-years ahead of the competition. Yesterday I replaced my old one that had served me well for over two years!!! It had fallen off of the roof of a moving car and had struck the curb while doing so. Yes it was a little ugly with some scratches and a dent, but it held my coffee! You would be a fool to even consider buying any other manufacturers products. The only reason I bought the new one is I because I left my original one at a remote fishing pond in Western Arkansas and simply didn't want to drive all of the way (250 miles) back to retrieve it. I waste absolutely no coffee using it as it keeps my coffee super hot for HOURS!! Stop looking and buy this bad boy and see what I am talking about.

This mug was the best travel mug we had owned, but it already needs replaced because of leaking from the lid. Very disappointed that it didn't even last 6 months. While it keeps the coffee hot for hours, it's a mess to use with the leaking lid.

Purchased this mug today at Target. There is no doubt, it keeps cold liquids cold and hot liquids hot. However, one complaint.

I used the mug to make hot chocolate. I filled the mug to about the top of the rubber grip with hot water from the hot water dispenser and added a couple packets of hot chocolate and mixed the hot chocolate by shaking the mug.

When I opened the snapseal, hot hot chocolate launched out of the mug like a geyser going off.

I'm wondering if some sort of pressure relief valve could be incorporated into the lid?! I'm wondering if leaving a soda in there for awhile would result in the same thing happening?

So, five stars for making a mug that keeps cold liquids cold and hot liquids hot .. but it gets reduced to four stars for no pressure relief valve and getting hot chocolate on my desk and computer monitor.

Spilled all over my computer the first time I used it. It was "sealed" supposedly, BUT the liquid was still scorching hot so don't worry about that.

was looking for a vacuum bottle to take to classes and jobs but didn't find one with the right size/volume for the price. Found this at the national discount retailer. I was going to get a 17-oz vacuum bottle but this is 20 ounces. Big plus! the snap design is very effective -- no leaks! This is going to get a workout from me, for sure. Right now I plan to fill it with my daily protein shake to take to classes. Once classes end, I am going to be taking coffee as well as tea, broths, and also going to get a long soup spoon so I can use it for soup when the weather gets cool in fall. Got a discontinued color (the blue one) and really like the rubber grip around the middle of the body as well. Hand washed it a few times already and from handling or carrying in a usually overstuffed bag, not even a bit of the outside finish has worn. If you are considering an expensive vacuum bottle to buy for your beverages or lunch kit, consider this. It's wide enough of an opening so you can eat soup from it. I am so glad I got this instead of a vacuum bottle (wide-mouth t*e*m*s). Besides those are bulky and this is a narrower design so it fits my tote without hogging a bunch of room. Economical, smart design, great price. Glad I found this as I was so tired of buying coffee and protein shakes at the smoothie place or coffee place. I probably already saved 2-3 times what it cost me by just taking my own drinks from home. Very impressed and satisfied with this.

I just purchased this mug and I have tried ALOT of travel mugs, and an hour after I'm at work my coffee is cold with the others and I have quite a collection, but this cup is nothing short of AWESOME 4 hours so far and it's still hot!! It's a 7 hour hot mug so I have faith usually after 4 hours my coffee would be gone anyway, but this was a test run and it's the best mug I've ever bought to date!! Next I will have to get one for water and see how it works, long story short it's worth it and I'm very happy thanks!!

Coffee is still quite warm after 6 hours. Lid open/close mechanism is a simple design, works well and is very durable.

This mug is, hands down the very best travel mug I have ever encountered. It keeps things warm for ages and never spills!
Sadly I am prone to losing mugs so I have gone through a few of them. Two of the most recent ones I have purchased were a little more difficult to close completely as if there was something catching on the threads. Otherwise this mug is simply a fantastic product.
